Description
A hybrid born of the Bronze and Silver Wox, the Golden Wox is a small-sized caniform mammal. Its coat is primarily a pale golden-cream shade covering most of the body, while a darker stripe of brown runs along the spine from head to tail. The head is narrow with short, rounded ears and dark markings around the eyes. A faint, bristled mane traces along the upper back, though less prominent than in its Bronze parent. The tail is short, marked by darker bronze and cream colors.
Behaviour
Woxes display a protective temperament. Though small, they become highly dangerous when acting in coordinated packs, capable of driving away even much larger animals. They make their homes in burrows, where they retreat for safety and raise their young.

Building trust
- Hostile
A hostile Wox is small but never alone - reach for one and the whole pack answers. Drop a Wox Snack outside their burrow and step well back; that is the only offer they will accept.
- Cautious
The pack no longer closes in when you approach. Hand a Wox Snack over directly - the same treat given face to face is worth far more than one scattered on the ground.
- Neutral
A neutral Wox sits still while you reach for it. Start stroking it - touch now builds trust considerably faster than feeding.
- Warm
A warm Wox lets you walk right up to its burrow unchallenged. No new gesture opens up at this stage - petting remains by far the fastest way to deepen the bond.
- Friendly
A friendly Wox will leave the pack to follow you. Keep it at your side and lead it back to a nest to make the bond permanent.

Artificial nest & breeding
After completing the animal research, you can build an artificial nest for this animal family and house animals that follow you there.
Bring together a male and female from the same family but different species in an artificial nest. Insert the matching family pheromone into the dispenser, then give the animals time and privacy.
Animal camera & research
- Place an animal camera near a natural animal nest.
- Wait until data collection is complete.
- This updates the behaviour and fauna information.
- The research provides the basis for this animal family’s artificial nest.
