Salvage Gyro – Find All Three Lost Blueprints
How to find all three lost blueprints for the Salvage Gyro and get it ready to fly.
For the quest Salvage Gyro — Lost Blueprints, you need to visit three old service platforms and scan one lost blueprint at each location. All three objectives appear in the Quest Log at the same time – there is no required order.
Each of the three platforms contains a different part of the blueprint. The dialogue after each scan tells you which part of the Salvage Gyro has been recovered.

How to start the quest
The quest starts when you approach any of the three service platforms. In my playthrough, it began at SGS-NW-115-5100, roughly 300 meters before reaching the tower. You do not have to start there, though – the quest can also trigger at either of the other two platforms.
The voiceover explains that three old service platforms were tied to a work program run by Deer Motors and Fahrt Ships, and that each one may contain part of a lost gyro blueprint.
Once the quest is active, all three blueprint scans appear as objectives at the same time. You can therefore visit the platforms in whichever order makes the most sense from your current location.
How to reach the blueprints
You do not need a Salvage Gyro to reach these three towers. Approach each platform by boat and look for the ladder on the tower. You can climb it up to the mechanics room. Inside, you will find the blue blueprint display containing the lost blueprint.
- Activate the quest
Approach one of the service platforms until “Salvage Gyro — Lost Blueprints” appears in the Quest Log.
- Identify the platform
Check the tower ID: 5100, 3255 or 6950. These are the three platforms connected to the quest.
- Climb the ladder
Bring your boat alongside the tower, find the ladder and climb up to the mechanics room.
- Scan the blueprint
Scan the blueprint display. The corresponding objective will then be completed in the Quest Log.
- Visit the other two platforms
Repeat the process at the two remaining service platforms. Their order does not matter.
SGS-NW-115-5100 – Blueprint B
In my Let’s Play, SGS-NW-115-5100 was the first tower. This is also where the quest triggered as I approached the platform.
The voiceover directly connected to this scan says: “Good. We now have the lift assembly and cargo hook records.” The following line also makes clear what this machine was built for: “This was never a comfort craft. One operator, one small load, and just enough trust in the engine to try.”
SGS-SW-115-3255 – Blueprint A
The second stop on my recorded route was SGS-SW-115-3255. The scan of this blueprint is documented directly in episode 137.
The voiceover confirms the frame part here: “That confirms the frame pattern. Light, crude, and built around field repairs.”
SGS-SE-145-6950 – Blueprint C
The third quest-related tower is SGS-SE-145-6950. In my playthrough, this was the final stop, and scanning this blueprint completed the quest.
The voiceover identifies the recovered parts directly: “That’s the engine mount and fuel routing confirmed. Small petrol unit… crude, loud, and stubborn.”
After the third blueprint
After the final scan, the voiceover confirms the completed set: “That’s the full blueprint set. Frame, rotor, engine mount, sling system… enough to fabricate a Salvage Gyro.”
The follow-up quest A Machine That Still Flies begins immediately afterwards.
The next instruction is equally clear: “Unlock the Salvage Gyro skill, then fabricate one.”
Don’t forget the Petrol Engine Cylinder
The Salvage Gyro also needs a Petrol Engine Cylinder before it can take off. Several versions exist. The image shows three different variants side by side for comparison.
The game does not show how large the differences between these variants are. I have not directly compared the later versions myself either, so I do not want to assign them effects or advantages that I have not personally tested.
