Finding PECO – Rising Tide

Rising Tide is documented at nine locations. You only need one cartridge. If you want a location that’s easy to follow, Central Warehouse Alpha is a good choice: this particular cartridge was verified directly in-game in Update 5.5.

How to start Memory for Aron

Once you have PECO – Rising Tide, the quest trigger follows a fixed sequence:

  1. Start Rising Tide

Insert the PECO cartridge and start Rising Tide at the terminal.

  2. Reach 300 points

Play Rising Tide until you have reached at least 300 points.

  3. Open INFO page 11

Then switch to INFO on the terminal and open page 11.

  4. Wait for the terminal glitch

Stay on page 11. After a short while the terminal display begins to glitch and the PECO terminal reboots.

  5. Open INFO page 11 again

After the reboot, return to INFO page 11. The hidden information will now appear.

  6. Listen to the message

Let the hidden message and voice sequence play through.

  7. Close the terminal

The quest “Memory for Aron” only appears after you leave the terminal.

Next: North Deep

Only now does North Deep Intake Station become relevant to the quest. The two documented quest objectives are:

  1. Travel to North Deep Intake Station.
  2. Enter Arons room.

North Deep features prominently in the quest data, which is also why it’s easy to mistake the station for the quest’s starting point. It is, however, the quest destination. The actual trigger happens earlier through Rising Tide.

Quest not appearing? Check these steps

If Memory for Aron still doesn’t start after using Rising Tide, go through the sequence once more:

  • Did you reach at least 300 points in Rising Tide?
  • Did you open INFO page 11 afterwards?
  • Did you stay there long enough for the terminal glitch and reboot to happen?
  • Did you open INFO page 11 a second time after the reboot?
  • Did you let the hidden information and voice sequence play through?
  • Did you close the terminal afterwards?

Visiting North Deep does not replace any of these steps.
